As a teenager in the 1980s I began playing around with cassette recorders (like the one in the image to the right), which led to my love of home recording. Over the years, even as I was exposed to more professional studios, I maintained a home studio using whatever equipment I could afford. In my various studio configurations, I recorded my own music, recordings for other artists, concerts that I produced, and podcasts. I’ve maintained an extensive digital archive of this work that dates back to the early 1990s, and I will be presenting selections through this website.

Though never professionally, and to a much lesser extent than audio production, I’ve enjoyed writing (non-fiction and fiction), and producing video. Both of these media have typically complemented my music, but in some cases, the work has stood on its own. I hope to also archive some of these items here, as well as maintaining an ongoing blog with musings about music and general culture.
