Our second JASON show went down at Zoetropolis on December 6. There was a great turnout to celebrate Sorry, the new release by Dipped. It’s an atmospheric collection of tracks inspired by 90s shoegaze and Mazzy Star acoustic dream-pop, so very much to my liking. Their performance was supplemented by old movie clips of what seemed to be French films from the 50s and 60s. It added a nice layer of visual interest and inspired possibilities for future shows in that space.
Our set included a new (very old) song called “Nothing” that I wrote when I was in college but never included on a record. It’s a fun rocker, and I’ve really enjoyed developing it with the band. We had a blast bringing some rock to the stage and getting to know some new friends. I’m really looking forward to what 2026 brings for the band.
